This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between TIMI risk score and the number of vessels involved in the angiographic study of patients presenting to emergency department following UA or NSTEMI. This is particularly important for lower-middle-income countries, which are increasingly affected by cardiovascular disease epidemic and encompass different genetics and lifestyle. Hence, the development of the TIMI risk score originated from developed countries, with limited data evaluating the effectiveness in developing countries. The TIMI score was established as one of the most commonly utilized risk assessment models in the chest pain units to warrant further workup. Patients presenting with Unstable Angina (UA) or NSTEMI that fit score 3 or more on the TIMI model are mostly recommended to undergo early invasive management with cardiac angiography and revascularization if necessary ( 9). There are seven components used in the calculation of the TIMI score. The TIMI (Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction) research group has introduced a specific model, the TIMI risk score assessment tool, which has been found to be predictive of the severity of vascular diseases and the potential of coronary circulation involvement in chest pain patients ( 8). Nonetheless, electrocardiogram (ECG), as the most readily available diagnostic tool in chest pain units, is not adequately helpful in decision making( 7). Choosing the best treatment in the initial stages following quick diagnosis is of great importance in improving the outcome. Several randomized clinical trials performed in the past two decades have established that immediate and complete restoration of flow in the occluded artery decreases infarct size, improves survival rates, and preserves left ventricular (LV) function ( 5, 6). Each year, three million people experience ST-segment elevation MI (STEMI) and also non-ST-segment elevation MI (NSTEMI) was estimated to occur in about four million ( 4). Myocardial infarction (MI) is known as the most severe presentation of CAD and CAD accounts for 30% of all mortalities ( 3). Despite recent developments, coronary artery disease (CAD) remains the leading cause of death across the world. DOI: doi.org/10.1161/01.CIR.Advancements of cardiac care units and revascularization methods, as well as the developments in pharmacotherapy, have led to improved patient outcomes after acute coronary syndrome (ACS) ( 1, 2). Where will you typically park your rig? Are you concerned about extended periods of cold temperatures, or do you usually only use your trailer in the summer? Do you spend most of your time in the deserts of the southwest, where rain and humidity are less of a factor, or will you often park it in the damp and rainy Pacific Northwest? Most RV travelers will want a lock that can stand up to a variety of weather conditions. It is likely that your lock will frequently sit in direct sunlight and it will often endure both extreme temperatures and temperature fluctuations. King pin locks are made from different metals, and some metals tolerate moisture much better than others. Your king pin lock will regularly be exposed to the elements, so weather resistance is another important factor to consider. Will your lock weaken with time, leaving you wondering if it can still do the job or forcing you to replace it often? Would you rather buy new locks more frequently or invest more in a lock that will serve you well for years? Locks are made from different materials and some can endure this kind of abuse a lot longer than others. Others will skip the finesse and use a tool to beat it repeatedly. How long can the lock stand up to brute force? Some would-be thieves will focus on picking locks or otherwise removing the king pin lock. Every lock has a weakness, but since thieves know about them, it’s important that you do too. They will know which key locks can be easily picked, which padlocks can be easily opened, and other common vulnerabilities. Skilled thieves will be able to recognize different types of locks. That being said, there are some locks that are more of a deterrent than others. Just like locks on your house or car, the lock is primarily a deterrent. If a determined thief has the time and opportunity, there is no lock that makes your rig 100% theft-proof. If it is tricky to install it properly, it may not function as intended if you don’t get it quite right, which leaves your trailer vulnerable to theft. If the installation is difficult or is time-consuming, you might be less likely to use it. The most secure lock in the whole world will not protect your rig while it’s in a box. You will need to put it on and take it off every time you use it. By nature, these locks prevent you from towing your fifth wheel while they’re installed, so remember that installation is not a one-time thing. Let’s be honest, when you’re heading out to have a good time, you want it to be quick and easy to install your king pin lock. Prioritizing which factors are most important to you will help you choose the king pin lock that best fits your needs. There are a number of factors you should consider when choosing from among the many king pin lock options that are available. Factors to Consider When Choosing a King Pin Lock Your king pin is an important moving part that is not easily replaced, so be sure to keep it well-greased and properly maintained. King pins are not ball-shaped like a bumper-tow trailer hitch, but rather cylindrical with a wider disc at the end. A fifth wheel hitch is mounted in the bed of a truck and the king pin slides into the slot in the hitch to allow you to tow the trailer. The king pin is the part on the front of your fifth-wheel trailer that connects to the hitch for towing. They can’t all be the best, right? We’ll help you narrow down the options, evaluate your needs, and choose the best king pin lock for you and your fifth wheel. They come in a wide range of shapes, sizes, colors, and prices, all claiming to offer you the best possible protection. The selection of king pin locks can seem overwhelming. One of the easiest things to do is to attach a king pin lock whenever you’re not towing, especially if you plan to leave it for a few hours. Thankfully, there are ways to protect your investment and deter those thieves. Few things can spoil your RV trip as much as having your rig stolen. While you are out having fun, anyone with a fifth wheel hitch in their truck can come to hitch up your trailer and drive it off. It might seem crazy but RV theft happens surprisingly often. Maybe you leave to go hiking, or sight-seeing, or just to the store to get supplies. Chances are when you’re traveling with your fiver, you don’t just want to stay in the camper the whole time. After you’ve done the work of researching types of RVs, finding the perfect fifth-wheel trailer for you, and writing that giant check, it is time to enjoy it. Keeping in line with their status as a substantial piece of furniture, the vast majority of wine cabinets are manufactured from wood, with various finishes. These pieces of furniture can act as a type of bar in the living room, with the countertop of the cabinet functioning as a serving area. Thus, a wine cabinet generally functions as a go-to storage space for a home’s wine-related collection. These “wine furniture cabinets” are reminiscent of a regular cabinet you might find in a living room, which is defined by Cambridge Dictionary as a: “a piece of furniture with shelves or drawers that is used for storing useful things or showing decorative things.” Unlike racks, wine cabinets will generally have doors, side panels, and storage space for other miscellaneous objects, while also providing rack/shelf space for wine bottles.įor example, many wine cabinets have room for stem glassware and a drawer for accessories such as corkscrews, bottle stoppers, and more. It is a good choice if you want to spice up the decor of a room with a unique design and an organized showcasing of a few wine bottles.Ī wine bottle cabinet is the sturdier, more inclusive sister of a wine rack. If you have prized vintages, a wine rack in the kitchen is not a good choice at all. This is why wine racks by themselves should be primarily used for storage of inexpensive, ready-to-drink wine. These areas usually get hit with a lot of sun, exposing the wine bottles to direct light every day, with the UV rays prematurely aging the wine.įurthermore, the chemicals in certain stains and paints on the wood racks can seep in through wine bottle corks, affecting the wine flavor. And because the focus is on appearance and presentation of bottles, oftentimes, wine racks are placed in high-traffic, open areas, such as kitchens and on counters. They are simply a storage accessory with no protective qualities. This is because a wine bottle rack is really just an ornament that should be selected in relation to a home’s existing decor.Īlthough beautiful, wine racks provide no temperature or humidity control for wine. A quick review of “wine racks” sold from major retailers reveals an incredibly diverse selection of designs, from ones evoking old French quarter structures, to others with a classic “C” design, to abstract, geometric confabulations. While wine racks are functional in the sense that they allow you to concentrate a wine collection within one, easily accessible location, they’re focused on aesthetic appeal rather than proper wine preservation. As such, anyone with a collection of large format bottles should double-check the wine rack’s size compatibility before purchasing. The shelves on wine racks generally have notches, curves, or indents for nestling wine bottles securely within, and most are designed to fit 750 mL size bottles. Some wine racks are stackable, allowing for as much storage as needed. However, popular capacities are 6, 8, and 12 bottle models, with these smaller sizes ideal for placement on the counter, by the dining room table, etc. Wine racks can hold anywhere from 1 bottle up to 160 bottles, or even more. Racks made out of other metals and plastic are available as well. Stainless steel wine racks are frequently used in kitchens, as a complement to other appliances with the same finish, and because stainless steel resists both staining and corrosion. These metallic materials will last awhile and can be more easily manipulated into complex designs than wooden racks. Wrought iron and stainless steel are also popular choices for wine racks. The racks can be purchased with or without a stain/finish, with the latter allowing for a more DIY approach to wine storage. For example, mahogany is highly durable, can be stained, and will not warp in high humidity levels. Certain types of woods are better than others. The majority of wine storage racks are constructed from woods such as redwood, pine, mahogany, and cedar. Racks can be wall-mounted, but are more often free-standing units placed in dining and cooking areas. In other words, a wine rack is a simple, linear structure for laying bottles on for display purposes and easy access. These racks generally feature an open-face front, back, and sides, with several shelves for storing and organizing wine. Wine racks are akin to shoe racks in terms of structure. It’s like we all possess the same downbeat-assumption reflex (a term I just made up). We don’t need to struggle to find it - and when the rest of the band comes in, the “one” lands exactly where we expect. In all of these instances, the placement of the “one” feels comfortable and intuitive to us as listeners. Goode,” and “Layla” are all songs in which each opening phrase starts on the “and of 3” prior to the downbeat. Even though it starts on the last quarter note of the previous bar, we have no problem locating the “one.” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Johnny B. For example, “Free Ride” contains an opening riff with an “anacrusis” (or “pickup”) to the downbeat. Sometimes, songs have opening riffs that clearly tell us they start somewhere other than the downbeat.
